About Me

My academic research focuses on the mathematical intersection of geometry, topology, and control towards autonomy and dynamical systems with a specific interest in networks, vision-based control, biology, and economics. I am particularly interested in the control of faltering agents in environments where structure is incoherent. Outside of work, my favorite past time is spending quality time with my family and my first love, June (beach frisbee!).

For Current Students

Note: If you are an interested PhD student with a computational and mathematical background in the above areas (or willingness to learn), please email me about opportunities.

Perspective Students - Why SBU?

Note: SBU is one of the worlds best in the areas of geometry and topology (e.g., US News) from which autonomous systems in areas such as machine learning, perception, to controls and optimization can be developed and utilized from theory to practice.

For High School Students

Note: Due to a large volume of emails regarding the Simons and CSIRE HS program mentorship, I am unable to respond to every inquiry. To be considered, please details regarding particular opportunities here. If you are a dependent of a veteran, please email me separately as I have set-aside opportunities to working with such students.
